19TH - 21ST JUNE 2015

CycleHack 2015 was a huge success!

We had 25 cities from across 5 continents join us in the global movement - thats a jump from 3 cities in 2015 to 25 cities all CycleHacking with us though out the same weekend!

It was not only our HQ Event in Glasgow, Scotland that attracted an amazing range of designer, makers, engineers, developers and everyone else in-between. We were amazed at the scale of our 2015 event and at the diversity of participants involved. It was great to see individuals from all around the globe with such different skills, expertise and experiences collaborate and prototype new cycling ideas.

We were blown away by the diversity of barriers tackled. There were amazing physical and digital prototypes developed, research taken forward and even some of our teams have since met and pitched their CycleHack ideas to their local governments, and are working with them to develop them further.

Some of the 2015 CycleHack Stats
- Over 600 participants around the globe.
- 88% of those that took part learned a new skill.
- Over 100 prototypes uploaded to the CycleHack Open Source Catalogue.
- 67% of participants were inspired to cycle more through taking part in CycleHack.
- Over 1.6 million people reached through Instagram and Twitter.
- 90% of participants are planning of taking part in 2016
What some people said

“Load of fun! It was really intense, but well organised and a very friendly and inclusive atmosphere.”

“It was a very good experience and also a personal learning journey. The way CycleHack provided support (e.g. the HackPack and online forum) was very helpful and created a great sense of togetherness across the participating cities.”

CycleHack Manchester Organiser

“Great event, lots of enthusiasm, positive people (opposite to many cycling events I have been to in the past!). I like people being pro-active and this is what the CycleHack is all about.”
